Lyric Friday

End of Me
Building 429

I was the one to call the shots
Dream my dreams hard and slow
Answered only to my self
Never giving up control
Until the one day that brought me to my knees
And I would never be the same

Once upon a time the story goes
I laid it all down and let it go
To lose it all, to lose it all
It took a step of faith to say goodbye
And everything I had I left behind
To find true life
Well all I longed for I found finally
At the end of me

And now are gone those wasted days
The selfish soul the emptiness
Love had dimly been replaced
But that old life is laid to rest
And now the new me is stronger day by day
And I will never be the same

Once upon a time the story goes
I laid it all down and let it go
To lose it all, just to lose it all
I took a step of faith and said goodbye
And everything I had I left behind
To find true life
Well all I longed for I found finally
At the end of me

And like an answer to a prayer
Jesus you were there
Calling me to live, to die
to give to gain
And I'll never be the same

Oooooo
Once upon a time the story goes
I laid it all down and let it go
To lose it all, to lose it all
I took a step of faith and said goodbye
And everything I had I left behind
To find true life
Well all I longed for I found finally
At the end of me
Its the end of me

Coffee Anyone??

One month left for the coffee fundraiser, check out the post here, for more information. You can drink some delicious coffee and know that the proceeds are going to help babies in Uganda (Loving Hearts Baby Home). As of today we have raised $37. To everyone who has already participated, thank you!! I can’t wait to share pictures of the babies at Loving Hearts after we get to meet them in May. I hope the pictures we take will give you all a small glimpse of the little lives you have helped provide for.

Here’s the link to Etaala’s Coffee Store.

Lyric Friday

I'll Go
Vota

This is where my ego ends
This is where freedom begins
Here's where I jump
In your arms

I'm done with livin' alone
I'm done with missin' the boat
I've had enough
Where I end's where you start

Why is it so hard to learn to let go
I surrender my life
All I have is yours

CHORUS
I'll go wherever you go
Give you my heart and my soul
Nothing can take me away
Now and forever I'm yours

My life was nothin' before
You love has taken me home
I know I'll never look back
Now and forever I'm yours

Oh no one knows me like you
Yeah no one cares like you do
There's no one else who loves me like you do

So why should I be afraid
To give my whole life away
Not going back
Not going back to okay

Why is it so hard to learn to let go
I surrender my life all I have is yours

CHORUS

BRIDGE
When the world is in my hands
And I go on my own again
I know you're still with me

When I feel your love is gone
No strength to carry on
I know you'll never leave me

Mission Photo Monday

The Philip Hayden Foundation provides care for more than 100 special needs orphans in China. Anyone can sponsor a child, or more than one child, through them. Their sponsorship program is amazing and it really allows you to feel like you are a part of "your" child's life. You get quarterly updates with medical and developmental information on how your particular child is doing. You can even send "your" child a package, which is a lot of fun, because they will send you pictures of "your" child with the things you sent them. You can choose to sponsor a child up until they get adopted, which is so exciting to see!

I wanted to share these pictures of Tristan before and after his cleft lip surgery, which took place about a year ago. Though sponsors The Philip Hayden Foundation was able to provide Tristan with this surgery, and many others. They are able to provide these much needed surgery to the children in their care through the support of others who want to make a difference in a child's life.

If you would like to sponsor a child in China, here is just one of many organizations you can go through.

Lyric Friday

Give Me Your Eyes-
Brandon Heath

Looked down from a broken sky
Traced out by the city lights
My world from a mile high
Best seat in the house tonight

Touched down on the cold black tar
Hold on for the sudden stop
Breathe in the familiar shock
Of confusion and chaos

All those people going somewhere
Why have I never cared?

Give me Your eyes for just one second
Give me Your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
Give me Your love for humanity

Give me Your arms for the broken hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach?
Give me Your heart for the one's forgotten
Give me Your eyes so I can see
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Step out on a busy street
See a girl and our eyes meet
Does her best to smile at me
To hide what?s underneath

There?s a man just to her right
Black suit and a bright red tie
Too ashamed to tell his wife
He's out of work, he's buying time

All those people going somewhere
Why have I never cared?

Give me Your eyes for just one second
Give me Your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
Give me Your love for humanity

Give me Your arms for the broken hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach?
Give me Your heart for the one's forgotten
Give me Your eyes so I can see
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

I've been there a million times
A couple of million eyes just moving past me by
I swear I never thought that I was wrong

Well, I want a second glance
So give me a second chance
To see the way You see the people all alone

Give me Your eyes for just one second
Give me Your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
Give me Your love for humanity

Give me Your arms for the broken hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach?
Give me Your heart for the one's forgotten
Give me Your eyes so I can see

Give me Your eyes for just one second
Give me Your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
That I keep missing

Give me Your arms for the broken hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach?
Give me Your heart for the one's forgotten
Give me Your eyes so I can see
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
