Psalm 139
I found this verse used for a little chinese baby that had a heart problem, who lived at Maria's Big House of Hope. HE is now in heaven and has a brand new heart, and will never have to suffer again! This is an old picture but one of my favorites! :)
For you created Tristan's inmost being; you knit Tristan together in his mother's womb. I praise you because Tristan was fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Tristan's frame was not hidden from you when he was made in the secret place. When Tristan was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw Tristan's unformed body. All the days ordained for Tristan were written in your book before one of them came to be. How amazing is it to know that our God is in control and knew long before we did what Tristan would do on this earth.

The Hole in Our Gospel
I found this on the ABBA Fund Blog and I wanted to share it.
Here is a modern paraphrase of Matthew 25, This is a picture of how most of us as christians are living:
“For I was hungry, while you had all you needed. I was thirsty, but you drank BOTTLED water. I was a stranger, and you wanted me DEPORTED. I needed clothes, but you needed MORE clothes. I was sick, and you pointed out the BEHAVIORS that led to my sickness. I was in prison, and you said I was getting what I DESERVED.” – Richard Stearns, The Hole in Our Gospel

Defending the Cause of the Orphan
Tom Davis challenged his blog readers to come together and write 500 blog posts about how an orphan has impacted and changed our lives for the better. He asked us to post this on our blog so that when people search for the movie they will get all positive messages about adoption and orphan care. Here is a link to his post, to find out how to participate click here:http://tomdavis.typepad.com/tom_daviss_blog/2009/07/defend-the-cause-of-the-orphan.html#comments
Here is my story:
Warner Bros. new horror movie Orphan proclaims that it must be hard to love an adopted child as much as your own. Let me tell you about how an orphan changed my life. I haven't adopted a child but I do sponsor a child in China. His name is Du Xinyong (English name: Tristan). He is a cute little one year old boy who lives at Shepherd's Field Children's Village (www.chinaorphans.org). He is a special needs orphan just like the 100 or so other children living there. I started sponsoring him in January of this year and this was the first child I had ever sponsored, so I didn't really know what to expect. You may think that when you sponsor a child you wouldn't get very attached. Well, that isn't necessarily true, this boy is incredible. Although I haven't seen him in person it is so exciting to see new pictures of him. It is so much fun to watch him grow and make new accomplishments. I know that I am not only helping him but in more ways he is helping me. If you don't already sponsor a child I would strongly suggest it. Here is a recent picture of Tristan, you can really see the joy in his face! Just think of all the joy he would bring to a forever family!

Children of the World
Children of the World International Children's Choir is made up of 39 children from Guatemala,
Uganda, and Nepal. Many of these children are orphans and they all live in children's homes
in their country, because their families were not able to provide for them. They are between
the ages of 7 and 12. They travel to the US to raise awareness for the plight of orphaned and
disadvantaged children all over the world. The children who participate in the choir will receive a four-year scholarship to the college of their choice in their home countries, after completing high school. These kids do an awesome job, I was was so surprised at how well they preformed. I love the songs they sing, and it is so cute when the little ones sing a solo. You can find out more about these children and World Help at this website: http://www.worldhelp.net/Children-of-the-World/cotw-faq.aspx
You won't want to miss this recording of one of their concerts. This is #1 out of 5, so make sure to
find the next one after watching each one. Enjoy!
